Mr. Furrer was one of the earliest Presidents and top officials of the ADRC on whom we have detailed information. He was President from 1935 through 1937, and again in the 1940's.
He was, I understand, the most informed and outstanding authority on rabbit fur and pelt evaluation. This was the period when rabbit fur was the most marketable. He was also an outstanding Dutch judge and bred many fine Dutch rabbits in several colors over a long span of time.
His work with Mr. Berhardt and Mr. Souers contributed so much to the putting forth of the ADRC information and data in printed communication forms which became the Dutch Reporter and our original Guidebook and Standard, both of which are so vital to maintaining an organization.
